Pet Friendly Vacations at Alua Atlántico Golf Resort

At Alua Atlántico Golf Resort, we know how important it is for you to share your vacation with all your family members, including the four-legged ones! So our resort in southern Tenerife is Pet Friendly, and offers small dogs (up to 10 kg) a special welcome to enjoy a vacation as relaxing and fun as yours.

We make sure that your pet receives the attention and care they deserve during your stay. From common areas fitted out to personalized details in your room, we want you and your pet to feel at home.

 

 

Pet Services

  • Pet Friendly rooms: Designed for you and your four-legged friend to enjoy the ultimate comfort, these rooms are fully equipped to ensure a wonderful stay.
  • Special Details: Comfortable bed, food and water bowls, and little surprises for your dog to enjoy the vacation as much as you do.
  • Fitted out spaces: Outdoor areas where your pet can go on a walk, and enjoy the natural surroundings around the hotel.

• Required at check-in:

  • Dog's name, weight, age, color, and breed for identification purposes during the stay.
  • Veterinary vaccination certificate showing proof of Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations within the last 12 months.
  • Proof of ongoing flea and tick treatment.
  • Third-party liability insurance (this insurance is mandatory for dogs with Spanish passports as of 29/09/23). If the dog has a Spanish passport issued after 29/09/23, the owner must also provide proof of having completed the mandatory dog ownership training course.

• Alua Atlántico Golf Resort's dog policy allows dogs under 10 kg for €20/night, only in My Favorite Club rooms.

• Only one dog per room is allowed. Dogs may not be left unattended in the room.

• Dogs are only allowed in designated walking areas within the hotel property. They are prohibited from entering areas such as the pool, gym, and spa (with the exception of guide dogs, which are allowed in these areas accompanied by their owners. In such cases, no charge will be applied for the dog’s stay unless additional services are provided, such as food. The dog must wear a special identification badge as a guide dog throughout the stay, in accordance with Royal Decree 3250/1983, dated December 7).

• Note: Areas where dogs are not allowed are clearly marked with signage.

• Due to local regulations, dogs are not allowed on the beach.

• Dogs must be leashed or carried in a pet bag at all times when not in the room. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and disposing of waste in the designated areas.

• Guests must clean up after their dog within the hotel property and dispose of waste in the outside trash bins or as instructed.

• Hotel utensils may not be used for feeding or watering pets, except those provided specifically for this purpose.

• The pet's food and maintenance are the responsibility of the owner.

• Guests must notify reception and hang the "Dog Friendly Room" door tag when leaving their dog unattended in the room.

• Please contact reception to schedule a suitable time for room cleaning. Unless the guest is present, our staff (housekeeping, maintenance, room service, etc.) will not enter the room. The owner must be present if the dog is in the room during cleaning.

• If the dog at any time threatens another guest or a hotel associate, the hotel reserves the right to ask for its removal from the property. If the dog causes damage, barks, makes other noises, or is the source of guest complaints, the hotel reserves the right to request the dog’s removal. Additionally, if there are complaints due to noise or inconvenience to other guests, the hotel reserves the right to charge the guest’s account for any compensation offered to affected guests.

• Any damages caused by the dog to the hotel facilities are the responsibility of the guest and must be covered accordingly.
